Provides money for college and training opportunities to work in child welfare
Program Description
Program Requirements
In order to be eligible for the Title IV-E Stipend Program, students must meet the following criteria:
- Be willing live in and to relocate within New Mexico
- Be a declared social work major
- Be accepted to the WNMU School of Social Work at the time of interview
- Be a junior or senior in good academic standing OR an MSW student in good academic standing
- Be willing to take a course in Child Welfare
- Agree to complete your internship at CYFD
- Agree to employment conditions upon graduation
- Agree to become licensed within 6 months of graduation
- Own a personal vehicle by the date of hire.
- Pass a background check once during the interview phase and again at the time of graduation
